Our Cheese Stollen is a soft, warm story where German Christmas tradition meets Ukrainian homemade cottage cheese.
We blend delicate farmer’s cheese with butter, adding juicy raisins, cranberries, dried apricots, and orange candied peel that we pre-soak in aromatic rum. The dough becomes soft and buttery, with a gentle tang and a deep fruity flavor.
After baking, the Stollen is dusted with powdered sugar and left to mature for a few days, becoming even more tender — dense, dessert-like, and creamy. This isn’t a classic “heavy” Stollen — it’s a lighter, creamier version, almost like a winter cottage-cheese Easter bread.
